Mercado de La Boqueria

(1 Rating)
A gastronomic temple
Born as a traveling market La Boqueria is one of the best markets in Europe. A paradise for the senses, this is where you will find the best of Barcelona's local food, culture, and even its hardworking people.

Culture in the sense that this market is beautiful

Not really a Cultural stop in the literal sense, not a restaurant, so because it was a great representation of a true European flea market with Fresh Fruits/Vegetables/Meats I had to submit it under this category. The colors were so vivid and the way they displayed their products were photo opportunities I could not pass up. Beware however it is extremely crowded, keep your wallet and valuables if you dare to take them inside close to you. Some things such as the chocolate stand were quite pricy and others like the fresh fruit juice ones were very reasonable and out of this world in freshness and taste. it is on the La Ramblas pedestrian mall. Link is below but I would also recommend you also google it and look at reviews on Trip Advisor or other sites.
