Poble Espanyol

(5 Ratings)
Village getaway
Built in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition as a pavilion dedicated to the arts, these 117 buildings, streets, and squares have been reproduced to scale to create an "ideal model" of a Spanish village. This is a unique microcosm that allows you to escape the traffic and chaos of everyday life in the city.

Nice

It's a great idea for those who are short in time and not able to visit other parts of Spain. Otherwise visit the real Spain!

Great crafts, arts for sell

This is a village atmosphere, according to Wikipedia it was built in 1929 for an exhibition and is supposed to reflect the ideal Spanish village. It is filled with many great shops showcasing their crafts, many even having people displaying how they make and design some of the very things they sell. We got off here on the tourist bus which I highly recommend because for one price you can get off and on as frequently as you like at the places that suit your tastes. This place did offer a lot of quality shops with some many fine crafts to buy, for the shoppers this place is a must.
